English update, finally

helloo fellow friends who don't speak Finnish.
I must apologize for my looong silence in English. Have been just too lazy to actually write in both languages.
I been up to no good. Time just seems to disappear somewhere.. I have no idea where did the first 5 months go?? Anyone? And what am I going to get done in the last 3 months! PANIC.
School has kicked in seriously now, finally..It took a good 3 weeks to get everything rolling. It has been pretty relaxed tho, I can't say that I would have much motivation tho. I have 4 courses: kiswahili, arts(wood carving), african women writers and race, class & ethnicity. The first 3 are great.
I got some real nice colleagues from Finland here. Venla is in the same class with me and Emilia came for the new semester. She is a friend of a friend so we already had contact beforehand. Venla's husband Jaakko is here working for a donation project to renovate a school, he will be building most of it. And Emilia's friend Paavo is here on a holiday for a couple of months. What else..umm.. I took a quick trip to Bagamoyo some time ago.. Just for a day..free time I been hanging out wit these Finns and some American students. It has been nice. Adam is busy with work and hanging out with his own friends mostly. He will stop working end of this month tho so hopefully we get some nice activities organized then. I really hope we will make a trip to Zanzibar or some other nice place. My mum n her cousin are coming around beginning of next month, so should organize some program for them as well. It will be great but HOT.

I gotta be living on low budget now. Need to think of next year in Finland so I cant spend everything here. Except I already kinda have..oops. lol
We have a holiday week now and most exchange students are heading to climb Kilimanjaro, visit Zanzibar or travel down to Victoria falls. I would have loved to do something but I gotta save money for the time mama comes and then do something fun with her!
I should start writing my Bachelor's thesis soon.. I was planning on starting this week but I have been quite stressed about other stuff so I shall see when I will find the drive and energy for it. Hopefully soon because time is running out. oops.
